Hi all,
I have managed to apply the UDF plasma model on to the designated region on the model by using source terms under cell zone conditions, the only problem that i face now is that; the plasma model applied from the UDF is fairly small compared to the region on the model, and once applied to the region, i'm not exactly sure where it is located within the region (in the middle/towards the right or left side of the region??). Please note that the generated plasma is a triangular shaped figure. Can someone please tell me how to set a specific point for the applied plasma model? Or atleast locate the exact position of the applied plasma model? I fear that my explanation may be unclear, if so please do ask so that i can rephrase my question further elaborate more on my encounter. Thanks in advance Best regards, J Last edited by yeongjia; August 24, 2016 at 06:32. Reason: Previous problem solved. |

you need to be a little flexible with the FLUENT and be able to adapt the solutions and examples from the forum, tutorials or programming guides to Your needs. It is also a good point to start with simple things. I would suggest to initialize the user defined memory and put the plasma values there. These values can be always viewed in Post after the initialisation or solution (if properly defined). Try to search for examples with C_UDMI. Best regards, Maks. |

greetings
i want to simulate a rotation airfoil with shyy model plasma actuator on leading edge i dont know how to identify that plasma region in the udf for the equation E=E0-K1x-k2Y Can someone please tell me how to set a specific point for the applied plasma model? Or atleast locate the exact position of the applied plasma model |
