HI could any1 help me on how to assign pitch and yaw angles in fluent while running a simulation over a 3D wing. I want to assign both these values at the same time..

Let say fuselage is in X-Y plane and wings along the Z-direction. In this case logntitudal axis is X and vertical one is Y. The Z-axis is pointing out of X-Y plane.

Pitch angle = alpha
Yaw angle = beta

Formulae are:

Case 1: Only alpha (Beta = 0)
X = Cos (alpha)
Y = Sin (alpha)
Z = 0

Case 2 : Only Beta (Alpha = 0)
X = Cos (Beta)
Y = 0
Z = Sin (Beta)

Case 3 : Both Alpha and Beta (360 model)
X = Cos (alpha) cos (Beta)
Y = Sin (Alpha)
Z = Cos (alpha) sin (Beta)

Thank you for the reply...it was really grateful..I wanted to ask you of where to apply these formulas.. in the boundary conditions while setting the inlet velocities or at any other place,,,

Need to check it. But you can rotate your model in Fluent.

Leading/trailing edge is parallel to Z axis? If yes, then same formulae are valid.
