hi,
When I use UDF in parallel ,I set it auto save files every 1 time steps each time. I can run it well in my computer. But when i run the same case in another computer, it can run well within 5 time steps, I have got a 999999 ERROR beyond 5 time steps as follows: Writing "G:\xia\pk\pk6mm2quyu_mi-1-00716.cas"... 84000 hexahedral cells, zone 23, binary. 87600 hexahedral cells, zone 24, binary. 84000 cell partition ids, zone 23, 2 partitions, binary. 87600 cell partition ids, zone 24, 2 partitions, binary. 999999 (..\src\mpsystem.c@1173): mpt_read: failed: errno = 10014 999999: mpt_read: error: read failed trying to read 1048576 bytes: Not enough space 0: mpt_write: error: write failed trying to write 524288 bytes: No such file or directory MPI Application rank 0 exited before MPI_Finalize() with status -1 The Parallel FLUENT process could not be started. Error: Error writing "G:\xia\pk\pk6mm2quyu_mi-1-00716.cas". Error Object: #f Then I must stop the fluent by task-manager forcibly! And soon afterwards, i run the fluent again and read the last case and data(for example 00715.cas and 00715.data above). It can run another 5 time steps (thas to say, the error will be found in writting the pk6mm2quyu_mi-1-00721.cas) Such again and again, the error will appear every 5 time steps and I must run and read the case and data again and again! Why the same case can run on another computer with the same ansys version---ansys 14.0? ps: The problematric compter have enough space, and it with 4G Memory which is the same as the fine computer, and it has been set the same virtual memory (6700~9000 MB) |

Were you able to solve this issue? I am getting the same error as youand it is very frustrating. I tried running my case and data file on cluster machine (192 cores) and also on local machine. Both give me the same error. Different forums have different suggestions about the error but none pertaining to my case.

I meet the error when i do my case with parallel model on one compter. When i kill the process named the 'explorer.exe" in the task manager, the error is not found again. The process explorer.exe is a commonly used process in all Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. The process explorer.exe is popularly known as Windows Explorer. Windows Explorer is basically used to browse files and folders in Microsoft Windows. Upon execution of the explorer.exe file, an application window is launched and allows the user to navigate the contents of folders and view file information. it will not obstruct the simulation if you kill this process, and you can run it again if you want to use it. This is my measure to solve my problem.Wish it can help you! |
