Hi :d
I am using personal computer (i7 blah) for my analysis , and now I realize that I need more powerful computer resource. Recently, I got a account to use cluster (pretty nice) here is a problem, a version of the fluent installed on the cluster is 13 but that of my personal computer is 14 does the cluster having fluent_13 accept my(version of 14) cas & dat files? P.S. I apologize about my terrible English, I'm not good at this language |

Hi,
No, I don't think this is possible (at least it's not with previous releases). The good news is: you can run on the cluster with V13 (setting up the job with a journal file) and post process with V14! That's what I did when we had a cluster. Marion. |

Hi Mario, thanks to your help
the procedure is like this; I can throw my job(cas, dat files) to the supercomputer(having fluent_v13) then he works for me, and return the results (dat file) then, I can draw colorful contours, vector fields etc....(with v14) ----------------------- It seems impossible that fluent(v13) can't read the cas & dat files(v14) then I have to downgrade the fluent :z.... anyway, I wan'na say thanks to your kindness again |
