Hi,

I am calculating a bubble colum reactor with Fluent. Therefore I use a Euler-Euler model with air bubbles with a specific diameter (d=0.5m, yes it is correct). To validate some basic features i tried to compare the estmated rising velocity vg=sqrt(2gr)~2.2 m/s with the simulation. I am not sure if the gas velocity shall be the variable that needs to be compared with the hand calculation. Does anybody know how to compare my hand calculated rising velocity with the simulation and which quantity to use?
