Right now I have a certain mesh size. I would like to decrease the mesh size and increase the mesh size to determine when the flow becomes mesh independent. To deteremine this I want to plot the velocity at a certain point vs. the number of iterations or mesh size. Is there a way to do this or is there a better way to determine if the flow is mesh independent?

If you want to do mesh independent study. Refine the mesh. Solve it . Then go back and refine further and then solve again. Compare the solutions. If solution changes. Refine and solve again. Then compare. Repeat the process until the solution does not change with refinement i.e mesh independent solution

What do you mean by solution? I can plot the pathlines of the flow but there are too many to compare and it is difficult to see if they are similar or not. What would you recommend I try?

It depends on your problem . What are you trying to solve ?
Anyways, let take an example. Say if you want to find a velocity. Plot a velocity contour or plot a XY plot along a set of points (line) and see if they change with the grid refinement. |

I am analyzing the flow of air in a room with different inlets and outlets. Right now I have a quarter of a symmetric room with two of the sides as symmetry and the others are walls. Eventually I am going to add different particles and see how to move with the flow and how long they take to exit the room.
