hi all.....
We are starting to study nanofluids using two-phase mixture model. In Exerting This Model in Fluent , We have a problem and we hope you can help us about our Problem. Our Problem is applying Effective Properties such as Conductivity , Viscosity or maybe Density in Fluent Software. You know that Fluent Default let Effective Properties in X-effective=φ*X2+(1-φ)*X1 and X1 ,X2 is Properties For Primary And Secondry phases. We want to let For example Effective Viscosity like μeffe=μf/(1-φ)0.25 in fluent. We think maybe we can solve this problem with writing a UDF for fluent ,but we don’t know where we have to exert in software. Please Help us. |

If I remember correctly, when we did our nanofluid research we were able to define all properties in terms of temperature and let Fluent do the rest. I will have to double check on that, since we did this back in 2007/2008. Of course, this required us to measure the viscosity/conductivity at different temperatures in order to produce an equation.
