hi everyone,
im doing a project and i want to capture von karman vortex for flow over a cylinder at high reynolds number( dia=20 cm,and the values of density and co-efficient of viscosity are the standard free stream conditions, and vel=1 m/s). and also is it possible to compute the skin friction drag coefficient ???? please help me out on this one, I shall be very grateful. |

At such high Reynolds numbers (~13000 with air), you wont see a clearly defined vortex street and the computational cost for this simulation will be huge.
You should rather coose lower Re around 100. |
