Hey everyone,
I was introduced to fluent a few weeks ago. I'd like to run some simulation during the night with a k-epsilon turbulence model. I need to change the discretization order from "first order upwind" to "second order upwind" for the momentum, turbulent kinetic energy and turbulent dissipation rate after a few hundreds iterations. I've seen the differents text commands in google but I don't know how to use them. Do you have any ideas of a macro I could use ? Thanks a lot |

A very simple example. Suppose you have a case named "hi.cas". You have everything set but the discretization scheme. You want to initialize the flow, change the discretization to higher order, and iterate for, say 2000 iterations. You should create a file named "whatever.jou", and put the following contents in this file.
;; contents of whatever.jou /file/set-batch-options no yes no /file/read-case hi /solve/initialize/initialize-flow ;; the next line uses "Second Order Upwind" to the momentum equation /solve/set/discretization-scheme/mom 1 /solve/iterate 2000 /file/write-case-data hello exit ;; end of whatever.jou Then you could use the command line fluent 3ddp -t4 -i whatever.jou or run from GUI. |
