Hi, I have a problem to find the average heat transfer coefficient, h for an extended surface (fin). Just a solid fin. I need to do this to validate my simulation with other journal. In the journal, he stated the formula that he used to find local h as
h= -k(dT/dx) / (Ts-T_infiniti) Then, he average it using the formula: h_avg = 1/A_T x summation(h_i x A_i) where, A_T is a total surface area A_i is computational cell area (_i is the subscript of i) how should I do this in FLUENT? Any suggestion? I am stuck with this problem for months. What I've tried is, instead of using the formula, I find the heat flux at the heating surface and divided it to (Ts-T_infinti). However, when plotting graph at different reynolds number, the difference is very high. |

p/s: I'm using the exact same boundary conditions, and geometrical dimensions as what have been done in the journal.
