Hi all
please help me, i'm trying to model turbulence by swril axisymetric or axisymetric solver- k-epsilon model, the geometry include chamber in which air is entered, i have used velocity inlet as boundary condition, i don't know where is the problem, fluent says that: "erreur in floating point", i'm new in modelling of turbulence phenomena.
thank you so much.

Floating point error comes when some number during the calculations gets divided by Zero. Check the settings in the boundary conditions properly, you must have left some Non-Zero as Zero. Also I will suggest you to go through the fluent manual before modelling your problem if you are new in turbulence modelling.

Hi
In addition of what cfd seeker posted, it may also caused by incorrect boundary condition. For example symmetry boundary with axisymmetry solver or axis boundary with 2D or 3D solver and it occurs on the first iteration.

hi
i have faced such problem many times
some times it is a temporarily error and by closing the fluent and opening it again the problem will be solved

thank you so much, i have found the problem, it was necessary to change axial and radial components from default values (0.0) to (1.0).
