Hi every one
I try to simulate two way fsi by using fluent+transient structural+system coupling, but I face to this error:
set-residual-history-size: not enough memory

Do anyone Know how to solve this problem? I try to coarse mesh or lessen time step or change to first order accurate and local parallel, but they don't work.
my systems characteristics are: corei5, 4GB memory

Hi
The problem lies in your pc. It is unable to process your result because of its processor and its RAM memory. You need to try higher the both of it.

Hi Rohitah, thanks for your reply. but when I try to run fluent alone, it works without error.is this problem just for fsi?

Not exactly. It depends on your case. If it is heavy, it may show the same.

Hello,

Maybe it's a little old, but did you find any solution for that?

I'm working on FSI simulation and the same problem just for coupling and no problem when I run a case just with fluent in parallel.

Thanks

Did you check your task manager to see how your RAM load is? Most likely, it's simply a matter of insufficient memory in your computer, which means either reducing the number of grid cells until you do manage to load the whole case, or buying a few extra memory banks.

Dear Cees,

Thank you for your reply.

my case doesn't have too many cells ( ~150,000 in fluid domain and ~60,000 in solid part). I have run this case in Ansys 16.0 installed in windows 7 without any problem. But the problem started when I run the same case in windows 10. Should be some thing wrong relative to operation system I suppose.

I am trying to understand why it's happened, however, I will appreciate let me know if you have any Idea in this matter.

Thanks

In my case, the problem solved after updating computer drivers with DriverPack Solution.
