Hi

i'm working on a quad copter and I want to evaluate the flow field and generated thrust!
so I'm modeled 1/4 of the quadcopter as periodic as appear in the attached picture!

my problem is about calculating thrust of propeller!
How can I calculating generated thrust of a propeller in fluent!?

I don't know what you mean by "thruster". But if you meant the required power need to rotate impeller, you can do it easily by obtaining torque which can be accessed through Fluent report result tool. Having torque, you can calculate the power. It's straightforward and I did it before. The only thing is that due to modeling only a quarter of the thole model, you have to multiply the result by four to account for required power for the whole tank.
Hope it helps

I attached a pic to previous post! maybe it helps you find problem out!
it's a vertical take off and landing robot! I need computing generated thrust by each propeller to calculating how many weight robot can lift

ghost82 will become famous soon enough
I think you can calculate the thrust from reports-->forces.
Choose the rotor surface(s) and calculate the force (choose the vertical axis, I cannot indicate if it's x,y or z, axis are not present in the picture).
