Hello,
I am trying to develop a model in fluent so as to simulate the flow inside a filter holder(up part, filtre, down part). Reading the manual of fluent, it is stated that porous jump can applied to a face. However, I cannot define the interface of the up and down part as porous jump in the boundary condition. Any recommendations on that? Thus I tried to follow a different approach by putting a thickness to the filter which I am not sure if it is proper because the manual states that it applies the porous jump in a surface. In that case I can select the interior of that part as porous jump but the results are strange(no flow after the filter which is defined as porus jump). Into more details after the filter there is no flow even if I define the interior of the down part as interior). What I do is to define the inlet as mass flow boundary, the interior of the up part as interior, the filter as porous jump, the interior of down part as interior, the outlet as pressure-out, match the interface between the up part and filter and between the filter and down part). I think that since the case is running I should have defined the boundaries improperly. I would like to kindly ask if you can advice me.I have searched in the internet for related cases but I cannot find something. I am new to cfd and I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much. |
