smartsoldier is on a distinguished road
I am attempting to capture the shedding vorticies off the rear of an Ahmed body in 2-D, however since it is only 2-D I cannot use LES simulations and instead must use a RANS turbulence model. The problem is that since they are "averaged-NS-eqns" I am not seeing any periodic shedding, it simply damps out. I have tried various different models and wall enhancements, and have changed my mesh y+ from 1-30 but no change is observed in the transient shedding. Any suggestions?
