I am trying to simulate the mixing of liquid ethanol and liquid water and am having a number of issues. Any help with either of them will be greatly appreciated.
1) I tried writing a UDF to define mixture density and viscosity as a function of mass fraction of ethanol. It gave me an ACCESS_VIOLATION error. I then tried removing the density portion, and the error went away. Does Fluent not allow you to define density as a function of mass fraction? 2) My inlet velocities are very small, on the order of 1e-6 m/s. My solution for these settings converges after one iteration, which doesn't make sense. When I increase the inlet velocity, say to the order of 1e-2, it iterates many times and produces a much more physically sensible solution. Any thoughts on why this is happening or how to solve it? Thanks, Justin |
