Hi everybody,
I have a simple question
I am working on flow in porous media. for beginning, I simulate the one phase(incompressible) flow in porous media core with 30 cm long and 5 cm diameter. the boundary condition for the problem was:
inlet-velocity of 0.1 m3/s for inlet
outflow for outlet
the problem was that after solving, the pressure at the end of the core is negative.
does anyone know why?

Pressures in Fluent are gauge pressures.

Did you check specifically the absolute pressure variable or are you looking at static (gauge) pressure?

both static and absolute pressure are getting negative from the middle of the core.contour.png
