Default Evaluate boundary-only variables on clipped surfaces (fluent/cfd post)

Hey guys,

if I clip a surface of my model in fluent I'm able to evaluate boundary-only variables like 'total surface heat flux' on the clipped surface. If I try the same in CFD-Post I get the error: "Heat Flux is not available on 'clipped surface'". CFD-Post seems not to see the clipped surface as 'real' model boundary and doesn't evaluate boundary-only variables like 'heat flux' on surfaces like this.

Any ideas to solve this problem? I want to calculate the heat flux through just a specific part of the model wall.

Thanks and greets,

Dwayne

I came across exactly same thing. Try to use Wall Heat Flux instead.

Thanks alot. Of course this solves the problem. Don't know how I could overlook Wall Heat FLux in variable list!
