Hello,
I have conducted a simulation utilizing thin wall approach. But something went wrong. I applied a temperature gradient(with udf) to related wall which will be treated as 3mm wall as you can see in the first and second attachment. So, the external surface which is not adjacent to the fluid cells must keep this gradient at the end of the simulation.(the boundary conditions are given to the external surface as explained in fluent guide on page 321) But, at the end of the simulation I the temperature contours are wrong I think. The fluent guide says that you can read the internal wall temperature by checking the wall temperature in the temperature list, and you can read the external temperature by checking the wall temperature (thin). But as you can in the last attachment there are no such options in the list. Only internal and external wall temperatures are available. And when I check them, I see that contours(third attached) there must bu gradient for external surface but it is only red. Thank for your helps and ideas. |
