yow is on a distinguished road
Can someone explain how to specify total flow rate out of a spray? From various sources and spray tutorials, I'm aware of total mass flow rate, parcel mass flow rate, and particle mass flow rate. The main problem is I don't know which feature in FLUENT applies to which flow rate.

I tried simulation specified below and, basically, the flow rate I want is 65 times the flow rate from the flux report.

My pure-diesel <l> spray application expels 6.5e-4 kg/s out the nozzle, which I specify in "total flow rate" in surface injection settings in DPM. I use:
coupled solver
diesel density of 849 kg/m^3 in materials, but reference density of the fuel outlet shows 26 kg/m^3 (why?)
velocity BC with velocity calculated from row*A*v = 6.5e-4 kg/s
nonpremixed combustion model with fuel (diesel) mass fraction of 1
also tried mass flow BC, but initial velocity that FLUENT calculates is too high
