Hello, I'm currently trying to simulate a 2d cascade of Aerofoils i have generated. I have meshed in the fluent mesher but i know i have to have periodic boundary conditions at the edges (above and below aerofoil) but don't really know how. I was wondering if anyone could help?
Thanks in advance! |

If you cannot import the boundaries as a periodic pair from the mesher then you probably need to define it explicitly in Fluent.
The periodic boundary can only be defined through the TUI, it is not in the GUI (as far as I know). You need to enter define/boundary-conditions/modify-zones/make-periodic and then follow the prompts. |

Hi, thanks for your help. I had trouble with the text input, it came back saying error Object #f. However i did a bit of reading around and think i had to use a non conformal mesh and make it periodic from there. Think i have it working. Thanks!
