Kostas_K is on a distinguished road
hello everyone

I am trying to simulate a turbulent flow inside a duct with DES model. I try the steady state aproach.
So I use the boundary conditions for the walls and outlet with the recommended values of ansys. I only change the inlet BC. I choose:
velocity inlet -> momentum tab -> velocity specification method (components) -> z-velocity (0.133 m/s).
Then i go and initialize my interior with the value zero (0)
The problem is when starting the calculation after 1-2 iterations, when i stop and check the velocity contours for the inlet the values are all zero. I want the inlet to have constantly the BC value i specified.
The same happens with every value i initialize..the inlet changes to that value.
How can i solve this ?
