Hello All,
I am modeling a parabolic trough collector model which consists of the following parts: 1) Annular Gap (Vacuum) --> OD=0.11m 2) Solid Tube (Steel) --> OD=0.07m 3) Heat Transfer Fluid (oil)--> OD=0.066m Surely there should be coupled interface model between the annular gap and solid tube in addition to another one between the tube and fluid. As part of the model, I have non-uniform concentrated heat flux on the outer absorber tube (adjacent to the annular gap). However, I don't see how I can add a heat flux boundary on an interface. Any help here? I have found that using the hidden-surface (that is built automatically by FLUENT on interfaces) heat generation rate using a very thin layer to give very good approximation of heat flux profile. I just would like to check, is that the correct way to model it? |
