Dear members,
I am doing flow boiling simulations and I have given linearly increasing temperature profile at the wall.
Do I want to know that how fluent calculates the heat flux at different axial locations?

Thanking all in advance

For laminar flows, it uses Fourier's law (thermal conductivity times the temperature gradient). For turbulent flows, it uses an analogous relationship but one has to keep in mind that the law of the wall is invoked.

This is not a separate calculation, but done when you setup and solve the energy equation (because the energy flux across the cell face is needed).

heat trannsfer coefficient value given by fluent is not matching with heat transfer coefficient calcualted by h=q/(Tw-Tl)

What would be the possible reason?

Thanking you

Did you set the reference temperature in the reference values?

If in doubt compare heat fluxes and not heat transfer coefficient.
