While getting heat flux value at wall at certain location in channel, do I need to take a average value along the width at that location? or can define a point at the mid of the width of the channel at that location and get the value? Please clarify.

It's entirely up to you how you want to look at your own data.
If you want the heat flux at any location, well then you can do that. If you want the average, well you can do that too. Is there a particular reason why you need either of those values? What are you comparing to? |
