Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate a wave formation in a horizontal channel by moving a wall with a sinusoidal velocity profile. I have gone through some tutorials that apply VOF multiphase model but it is computationally too expensive. I am aware that other SW as Flow3D is capable of tracking the free surface by only solving the water fluid. Is it possible to solve it in a similar manner by means of ANSYS Fluent? I have also read that other SW solve it by means of Lagrangian methods. Is it possible to simulate the wave formation by means of DEM for example? Modelling the water as a dense concentration of particles of a certain size/properties? Any help would be highly appreciated. |
