Hi all,
I have a question about instalation academic fluent 19.2 on free of charge linux distribution, becaouse im not allowed to buy redhat or other supported linux distros, so i have to use other one(could you help me choose one ![]() on our old Fedora 24, i got error file after full, undisturbed instalation where i got instal.err at end: " >>>---------------------------------------> ANSYS installation: śr. paź 10 21:27:49 2018 Revision: Release 19.2 ###### Error ####### __________________________________________________ ___ Errors extracting '/media/iso2/sgcharts/LINX64.TGZ' '"/opt/ansys_inc/extract.sh"' terminated after 1 attempts with the following error(s): Unknown error Exit Code: 2 tar: Its not a TAR archive/its not looking as tar archive (i translated it because its in my language, nor linux nor ansys have it dunno why its here) ..... .... .. .. .... ..... '/opt/ansys_inc/v192/aisol/../commonfiles/MainWin/linx64/mw/system/hklm.bin': No such file or directory ###### Error ####### Could not find configuration script: AnsConfigFLUENT.sh ###### Error ####### Could not find configuration script: AnsConfigCFDPost.sh >>>---------------------------------------> " and i dont know is this is caused by system, by ansys, or by instalator. i used ansys guide(https://windows.epfl.ch/info/linux.pdf) where i mount iso file: "For a locally-mounted DVD installation, issue the following commands: mkdir dvdrom_dir mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom dvdrom_dir" and this guide doesnt help at all... my linux oriented collague said he is done here, if i would install new linux he would help, and its propably caused by old linux version. so question is: Does CentOS will help with that problem? centos/7.5.1804/isos/x86_64 I dont want to reinstal several times linux cause im not alone on our server, and only mighty sysadmin have keys to room with server... Any advice is welcome. ![]() |
