Hi Everyone,

I have a small question.

I have been doing a 2D simulation of flow over a rotating cylinder (Wall). i have used K-Omega solver with derived Y+ values and ran the simulation. I am confused from the derived torque value through Post processing window of Fluent "Reports → Forces → Moments → Select Wall → Print" .

Please advice the derived torque value is of the air rotating over the cylinder OR it is only of Cylinder.

Please share me a good reference to relate my scenario.

Please see the attached images for quick references.

thanks in advance

Firstly thanks for your reply.

I am bit skeptical about it, if both are same then theoretically calculated torque values of rotating cylinder and the ANSYS torque values of rotating wall are different.

Being a senior member of this page, It will be good if you can be helpful, instead of saying it a stupid question.
I am just starting my self with CFD, trying to explore things out and reaching for help. I would be more happy if i get any help, where i would like to correct myself.

I didn't mean to say that your question is stupid, I meant that my question might be stupid.
