Hi,
I am a Second Year Aerospace Engineering student. I am trying to simulate a case where we are supposed to simulate a hypersonic air flow over a spiked blunt body with an aerospike and an aerodisk attached to the spike's mouth. We are using Ansys Fluent 2022 R2 Student version for the simulation. I have attached the image of our mesh. The solver conditions are as follows - Free Stream Conditions - Temperature = 247K, Pressure - 21.96 Pa, Ma = 6, Wall Temperature = 300K. We have used the pressure far field condition. Our task is to estimate the Coefficient of Drag. The issue that we are facing here is - 1. While, mapping the Cd, the solver calculates the value of Cd to be around 0.3 (Ideal Cd for this case should be nearly 0.6) OR The simulation blows up after reaching incessantly high values for Cd (i.e. 150000). Kindly suggest what changes I have to make in order to obtain an accurate value for the Cd. The link for the Ansys files is as follows - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cTV...ew?usp=sharing With best regards, Tanish Last edited by tanish.desai583; May 28, 2023 at 12:34. Reason: Did not mention the Ansys File Link |
