Hi everyone,
Is it possible to safely modify the XYZ coordinates of existing cas/dat files written in ascii-text format? I know the majority of the xyz coordinates in cas+dat files are written in this section: (10 (zone-id first-index last-index type ND)( x1 y1 z1 ... )) However, I am wondering if there are other numbers or metrics that I also need to modify in order to be consistent. (like the XYZ location of a centroid... or who knows )Motivation: I have a geometry that is fairly complicated, but it fits perfectly in a curvilinear regular grid. (The coordinates are generated by a Matlab script) Therefore, my idea was to create a simple rectangular flow case in Fluent, and then modify the XYZ coordinates to mach my domain. The problem setup has periodic boundary conditions (translational/conformal), but otherwise it is a simple incompressible flow case. Thanks in advance, |
