Hi all, What scheme does Fluent use to solve Navier-Stokes equation? and what order of accuracy? Thanks.

The coupled solver in FLUENT uses Roe Scheme. Order of accuracy - 2nd order

It uses cubic minmod limiter.
Yes, preconditioning is available in FLUENT with coupled explicit & coupled Implicit solvers. If the you select the unsteady solver and temporal discretization as "explicit" then the preconditioning will be off! Otherwise, all the times the preconditioning will be "on". Thanks, rk. |
