Hello, I saved a file like: File > Interpolate > Write, after selecting a face and x velocity and y velocity, I get the a use column of data of the following form: =========== 2 2 6750 2 x-velocity y-velocity .......... ......... ===========
Can any one tell me how do I ineterpret this data? Brandy |

The first(2) term(2) means the file version. e.g. It's 1 for Fluent 5 & 2 for Fluent 6.
The second term(2) means the dimensionality(2d or 3d). The third term(6750) means the total number of data points. The forth & fifth terms mean the list of field names. Next term means the x-coordinate values for all the data points. Next terms mean the y- & z-coordinate values for all the data points. The last terms mean values of each field names for all the data points. Jinbok |
