Hi,

Could you tell me how to check the node number in the middle of the 3D sturcture ? "nnumbers" gives me only the surface node numbers in the 3D sturcture. Fipost manual described about "plane" and "group" but I don't know how to define "Plane" and/or "group" command. Please let me know.

Young:

You can use PLANE command. There you choice a point and a vector that define a cut plane.

for example:

PLANE(section, nonbody, pvector)

Then you should indicate the point and the vector in the comand line (bottom and left) in this form:

0 0 0 1 0 0 ( push enter )

the three first numbers are the coordinates of the point (x,y,z), the next three are the direction of the normal vector of the cut plane.

Finally use the command MESH for see the numbers of the nodes on this plane.
