Eliminating Tgrid violations

I am importing a large traingulated STL file (15.54MB) straight to tgrid, would it be better to send it to gambit first and do anything to it? I need to eventually get it to fluent.
I import the STL file straight to tgrid. After a combination of using check and improve (swap face edges), merging free nodes, using modify> skew.merge.skew.merge.....(many times), and refine> smoothing the mesh (i can only get it t run 4 iterations at a time, can someone tell me how to change that?) i am able to go from about 2000 violations to 1. it still won't mesh and I have tried many things to get rid of the last violation, any ideas, references, anything? Thanks a bunch |
