Default Surface tension in VOF

I am using the VOF model to simulate the behaviour of a liquid metal drop. The simulation converges, but some spurious velocities are created at the free surface, which eventually propagate within the drop and prevent the velocity field in the drop to reach a steady state.

Thanks for any advise on how to reduce/cancel those spurious velocities.
