Hello everybody!
Does anybody know what command I can use to get an evenly distributed random number on the interval 0 to 1 in a UDF? There's an example in the UDF manual that mentions "cheap_gauss_random()", but is that really evenly distributed? Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks, Henrik |

After looking in random.h I found the following commands are probably available:
cheap_gauss_random cheap_uniform_random gauss_random uniform_random Now, what's the difference between the "cheap" ones and the other ones?? Any help is as always highly appreciated Thanks, Henrik |
