hi all can any one tell me that udf s can be written in notepad and can be uploaded to solver, or otherwise it should written only in c/vc++ format

I suspect they can be written with any text editor. It is not the editor that is important but rather the syntax that can be read by fluent. i.e. C and the use of appropriate Fleunt macro's.
You will have to be careful that your text editor does not embed formatiing characters that upset the compiler. Good luck. |

I thought the same what MBR expalined. You should take care about your text editor and when your are saving your UDF in that text editor You have to save in .c format.
