Default Discrete phase model (urgent)

Hello all,

i'm currently modeling particle deposition in a 90 degree bend using the discrete phase model and one way coupling between phases. the flow is laminar and fully developed where particles are injected from the inlet surface. the problem is that the number of particles trapped for a given diameter changes with the injection velocity. and that seems physically wrong because particles relax directly to the flow field velocity. for instance, for a particle diameter of 8 microns, the deposition efficiency is 0.96 for an injection velocity of 0.3 m/s while it is zero for an injection velocity of 0.4 m/s!! how should the injection velocity be set? and is it correct for the efficiency to change this much for a given diameter??

i tried refining the mesh and increasing the number of injected particles but the problem persists. any suggestions regarding this problem would be highly appreciated

Nancy
