Hi,
I am trying to model a simple natural convection problem. I want to see the flow pattern due to this, but unfortunately while solving for the equations it is omitting the continuity equation. Does any one have a clue on this. Please advice me. Thanks Kind Regards Elleana |

Check residuals, whether the continuity is chosen or not

Hi
have you specified the gravity (9.81 m/s2) in the operating conditions panel? Also, You should make sure that the mesh (especially near walls) is fine enough to comply with the y+ requirements. Natural convection simulations are very sensitive to the BCs used, what are your BCs? Regards AAA |

Hi AAA,
I had them on. There was a bug i reported to Fluent and they fixed it up. My mesh resolution is ot fine near the walls iam not getting convergence. Iam interested in viewing the circulation pattern in the room based on natural convection. Any thoughts on this please. Thanks Kind Regards Elleana |

hi Elleana,
I'have already working on natural convection, it a serious problem in convergence. continuty equation is indespensable to close the equation systems, you cant get solution without continuty eqt. |
