How do we get vector animation? I tried it the as given in the guide for contours but it didn't work and also when superimposing vectors on top of contours. Any suggestions?

I have not defined any key frames. I am following the procedure given in Tutorial guide > Modeling Unsteady Compressible Flow > Step 10: Saving and Postprocessing Time-Dependent Data Sets

Thanks for the help.

in solve->Animate->playback press "Write" and save the file in mpeg format.

Now open the mpeg file from the folder I hope you should get the animation, if not send let me have a look.

If you dont mind can you send me the pexit.c file to me.
