Hi everybody. I am trying to simulate an extraction process,it is a packed bed composed of very small solid particles and the solvent is a gas. These particles have a substance that I want to extract. As I see this process I think I have to account for the diffusion and the convective mass transfer, for this purpose I developed and expression to calculate de mass transfer coefficient while the diffusion is accounted by a constant mass diffusivity (for now). In order to implement the convective mass transfer I have to choose a multiphase model (interaction between the solid phase and the gas). I don“t need to follow the particles I consider them static particles - fixed bed. Here arises my doubt, I am trying this using Mixture model but, perhaps this is not the best way to do it. I would like to hear your considerations on this matter.
Thank you very much in advance! Best regards, Joćo |
