Hi,
I need to analyze the flow of air over a tube through which water flows (heat exchanger element). The air heats the water. I have the inlet temperatures and velocities of both the fluids. I need to det the exit temperatures. Pls guide me as to how i could assign the properties of the 2 fluids to the 2 boundary conditions in fluent. Do i have to choose a multiphase model (VOF)? I really would appreciate any help regarding this. Thanks! Sashankh |

Hi shshankh.... As I undurstand your problem, water is flowing through the tube & air is passing outside of tube. Heat transfer is taking place from Air to Water. If I am correct, then you can difine two different fluid in Gambit itself & can give BC there. You must define the tube as solid & can give properties of solid in Fluent.
