air entrainment simulation

I have simulated the flow over stepped spillway. It looks simple. Both VOF and Mixture method can be used for this simulation. The air-water interface can be accurately simulated,but the volume fraction of air in the water is obviously different from experiment. Can anyone help me??

hello im Phd student i work in my thesis about the flow over stepped spillways please can we cooperate for this simulation i can help you a lot about simulation for 2D cas
