Hi,
I'm setting up a simulation for transonic flow over a ramp which has a finite surface behind it. The image shows basically the domain with the boundary conditions and flow direction. What is the best boundary condition type to have downstream of the flat surface? I though maybe Symmetry but in real life the flow over the lower surface (which I'm missing out to keep is simple) would not make the flow here symmetrical. Hope some one can help., Thanks Last edited by siw; October 7, 2009 at 04:35. Reason: Typo |

I think your best bet is to model the whole domain. But if you can't afford that, I'd try pressure outlet or outlet.
