Hello, i am a newcomer in this forum and also just recently studied FLUENT, so i think i am going to need a lot of help from the good people of this forums
My project is quite simple, where a nozzle with pressure of 10 bars eject water mist to a room of 2 x 1 m with 1 atm pressure. My problem is how do you make the water of continuous phase inside a nozzle disperse and become droplets at the nozzle's exit. Also i was hoping to get a wide range of water mist ejected into the room, do i need to change the geometry of the nozzle? Thanks for the attention and i am looking forward to your answers. |

hi,
i study on the same problem, but i want to know only the dispersion of water in room, i've writen a lot in this forum but i couldn't get more help. i use vof model in order to solve this problem (because i only want to see the dispersion). it's working but i know for example at 3 bars, the water must arrive 9 mt forward from nozzle (by means of experiments). but in fluent solution, it seems to go about 1 mt forward. i couldn't understand what is wrong. if u wish to know about how to solve my problem, i can tell you about the case. regards... thanks for the replies,
for Bugra, i would like to know you're problem specifically and how you use the VOF in this problem. I've been reading some manuals and some of them points out at DPM, however i have never used it before. Also i have been wondering if i put the tip of the nozzle inside of the room, will that make any difference? because in my case, the tip of the nozzle is at the exact boundary of the room. |
