Which one is better? I want to compare their abilities to handel the meshing of complicate system geometry. Also, which one will take shorter time to get a converged result for the same problem with similar number of grids? I know that chemical reaction part of Fluent is from CHEMKIN. How about CFD-ACE? Is it also from CHEMKIN? Any opinion is appreciated.

Hi Jiuan, STR offers specialized software package CVDSim intended for modeling of epitaxy in mass-production and research scale reactors. The tool is available as an add-on to both CFD-ACE and FLUENT, and also as a stand-alone version for commercial MOCVD reactors. CVDSim is widely used in the industry, including top reactor manufacturers like AIXTRON and Veeco. You can find more details at our web page or contact me directly with any questions. We do have our own experience and have the feedback from CVDSim users on the efficiency of FLUENT vs CFD-ACE in computations with chemistry. I could elaborate on that privately.
