Hi all,

I too had a similar problem. And its has the easiest solution.

The problem occurs due to wrong projected area taken in the reference values.

Solution:

Take out projected area along the normal to the r vector (where Torque= r x Force) and divide your torque values by this projected area.

(let the reference value of Area be 1 m^2 if you are using fluent)

You may need to double or triple this torque value (according to no. of blades) if you are using periodic condition.

On how to find projected area: http://www.afs.enea.it/project/neptu...ug/node963.htm

Regards

I am simulating a non rotating wind turbine blade for HAWT. I am getting a weird graph at a given percentage of the span (coefficient of pressure vs cord length) . Several points are intersecting.

What could be the problem that cause such irregular pressure distribution?

I unable to attach sample of the graph
