Hi, Just got FLUENT v14 (usually use CFX) for an air filtration CFD task. I've conducted FLUENT tutorials 1-10.

In tutorial 10 there is no interface between the fluid and porous zones, only a single face rather than 2 over lapping faces (don't know how this was made). For a CAD assembly with separate parts for the various fluid and porous zones what is the recommended specification for zones and boundaries?

For example, in Meshing should Named Selections be applied to each zone and face of a part that will interface with another part (aka zone)? I have made interfaces in FLUENT as given in tutorial 9 (non conformal mapping) even though for some of the parts the nodes align. Is this the best way for defining such a setup?

Thanks
