Hi all, hopefully somebody can shed some light on a problem for me.
I've got a 3d mesh of a wing which I was provided and which I've used to generate results. I need to be able to use adaptive mesh refinement to refine the mesh in certain locations, I've tried doing this based on a number of factors - eg Mach number to refine in the location of shocks. The problem I'm having is that while the initial mesh is fine (and I'm unable to change it anyway), every time I use adaptive mesh the mesh will subsequently fail a mesh check as left hand faces have been created which weren't there before the mesh refinement. Trying to solve the adapted mesh results in divergence errors and floating point exceptions. I've tried a couple of different methods to try and remove the left handed faces having done some research, I've used: define boundary-conditions modify-zones repair-face-handedness mesh modify-zones repair-face-handedness and I've also tried reordering the domain but none of these have had any effect. Does anybody have any idea what is causing the problem or any additional ways I can try and fix it? Any help very greatly appreciated! |
