chujeh2020 is on a distinguished road
Im now using the video card model, NVIDIA Corporation GF116 [GeForce GTX 550 Ti] (rev a1), and below are the description for it:

description: VGA compatible controller
product: GF116 [GeForce GTX 550 Ti]
vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:01:00.0
version: a1
width: 64 bits
clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom
configuration: driver=nvidia latency=0
resources: irq:16 memory:f4000000-f5ffffff memory:e8000000-efffffff memory:f0000000-f3ffffff ioport:e000(size=128) memory:f6000000-f607ffff

the problem face is the 3D view on the paraview is still slow and seems like the card is not able to be fully utilies, already tried the propietary drivers for that but failed to improve. Is there any suggestion of any video card which are compatible for Ubuntu 12.04 and good for paraview? thanks for comments.

Greetings chujeh2020 and welcome to the forum!

Looks like you're not the only one with this problem. Try this possible solution: http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/u...in-nvidia.html

In general, the best idea is to either stick to older NVidia graphics card, so that it's more probable that the more recent drivers will properly work with your card. Or you'll have to aim to the latest drivers delivered by NVidia themselves: http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html

Best regards,
Bruno
